OFFICIAL RULES:
The contest begins Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, and ends Sunday, December 21, 2008. The weekly entry deadline is close of business Sundays at participating stores. The weekly drawing will be Tuesdays, Nov. 18 - Dec. 23. Enter as often as you like using original newspaper entries. No purchase necessary. The official copy of the entry is available in the lobby of the Herald-Leader. Participants may complete one official entry per week. No other reproductions of the entry will be accepted.
The prize: Six weekly winners will win one of six $100 gift cards provided by participating businesses, with eight winners the final week.
By entering, you confirm and represent that you meet the age eligibility requirement of 18 years of age or older. You waive any potential legal claims, hold harmless and will not attempt to hold The McClatchy Company, Kentucky.com, the Lexington Herald-Leader, participating businesses, their employees, agents and assigns liable.
Employees of The McClatchy Company, the Herald- Leader, Kentucky.com, and participating businesses, their distributors, contractors, agents, immediate families and household members are ineligible. Winners will be selected by a random drawing and notified by phone. Winners will be the entrants reached in person by a Herald-Leader employee. Assumed notification by caller ID and any subsequent returned calls do not constitute a winner.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received. No substitutions for prizes.
By entering, you allow Kentucky.com and the Herald- Leader to use your name and address for marketing purposes, and the winners grant The McClatchy Company, Kentucky.com and the Herald-Leader the right to use their name and/or likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
Winners may be required to sign a statement of eligibility and a liability release prior to receiving prizes. Entrants agree that The McClatchy Company, Kentucky. com and the Herald-Leader, their subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents are not liable for, and will be held harmless against, any and all claims for injury, loss or damage of any kind - including, but not limited to, cancellation of the Giveaway - resulting directly or indirectly from participation in this Giveaway or from acceptance or use of any prize.
Any taxes and fees are solely the responsibility of winners. Entrants agree that Kentucky.com and Herald- Leader decisions regarding contest entries and winners are final and binding. Void where prohibited by law.
